L was very sad this morning when she could not find the elves anywhere.

Little did we know that they had spotted her eating some of their favorite ice cream yesterday.  They snuck into the freezer and had a little ice cream party.

The elves must have been working very hard collecting things to bake, they had to take a little break to have a drink ;)

The elves brought all sorts of Christmas candies for the kids to make gingerbread houses!

It appears that last night the elves got a wee bit board and made a zipline from our tree!

Woke up this morning to find that the elves had taken a little wagon ride around the house collecting change we had laying around for the kids to use for their RACK today.

And when we got home after school today we discovered that the elves had set up our Christmas tree!!

This morning the elves brought the kids a little afterschool snack, they got a little bit board waiting for the kids to get up and decided to go fishing while they waited.

Those silly elves were finding another use for all the books that we have lying around.  It appeared that they were using them as tobogans and sledding down the entry way stairs!

And when we came home from school this afternoon, we found those silly elves hanging upside down from the chandelier!!

The kids were kind of sad this morning when they couldn't find the elves :(

and boy were they excited when we went to get in the explorer and saw that the elves were driving AND they had decorated the truck with antlers and a big red nose!

Skeeter and Marley were back playing with the dry erase markers and wrote on the bathroom mirror

L spent the night at her BFF's and Trixie visited them and wrote on their mirror and brought the girls Christmas tatoos!



eLfCaPaDeS of 2011 Santa Shop

Today was the 6th anual Santa Shop that the local Girl Scouts put on every December, kids from the comunity can bring a foodshelf donation to shop for hand made items to give to their friends and family for Christmas.

The kids woke up to find that Trixie, Skeeter and Marley had already colected a bunch of foodshelf items for them to go "shop" with.



eLfCaPaDeS of 2011 Markers + Elves = FUN

The elves got into the dry erase markers last night,

Trixie and Marley decorated pictures over on our family wall of friends and family

And Skeeter got pretty artistic on the kids' school pictures



eLfCaPaDeS of 2011 RACK Advent Wreath

This morning the kids woke up to find the elves had made them an advent wreath.

A very special advent wreath!  On the back of each day there is a Random Act of Christmas Kindness (RACK), so every day there will be a new RACK for the kids to do that day. They also brought post cards that they can leave with some of their RACK.



eLfCaPaDeS of 2011 Santa Says...

This morning the elves were back on Zack's little blue tree with a Contract from Santa on ways the kids could make the nice list before it's too late!

They each had to choose 3 duties to do around the house and sign their names.

eLfCaPaDeS of 2011 Poor Elvin

The kids were a bit sad when they woke up yesterday and found that their Elves were gone, they left a note saying they heard about Elvin and were going up to the Northpole to spend a few days with him in the hospital

They arrived back here this morning

They told the kids that they were very sad that they were on the naughty list right now and that Santa wasn't sure if the elves should come back, they had to go to Elf Court and got to come back for 10 days and in those 10 days the Elves have to help the kids get on the nice list!!

They also brought a note from Elvin and a picture of him in the hospital.



eLfCaPaDeS of 2011 all wrapped up in...

Can you believe it is already the end of November and we STILL don't have snow?

The kids woke up this morning to find that Elvin had tried to decorate with

snowflake garland, but he had a bit of a mis-hap and ended up in a tangled mess

on the ceiling fan!!

While getting the cabin cleaned up before we headed home, PD & L were trying to get on the naughty list I guess, because they were fighting over Elvin, and pulled his poor leg off....

When they came out of time out he was gone with out so much as a note :(

When we arrived back home, L was excited to see that Skeeter, Trixie and Elvin's little brother Marley, had gotten out Zack's blue tree and decorated it!



eLfCaPaDeS of 2011 Happy Birthday Preston

PD asked for Santa to send Elvin again for his birthday this year,

and sure enough, the morning of November 25th,

Elvin arrived at our cabin ready to kick off this holiday season elf style!
